Volunteer Spotlight

We appreciate all of the parents who have risen to the occasion and are completing their 3-hour volunteer pledges. Sometimes volunteers really stand out.

Volunteer Spotlight

Vanessa Lopez

January’s Featured Volunteer is Vanessa Lopez. Vanessa has been with her kids at Maple Creek since 2007! She can be found helping out in classrooms, chaperoning on field trips, serving as crossing guard, MPR monitor and more. Vanessa and her family love Maple Creek’s staff and families. Thanks Vanessa for all you do!

Volunteer Spotlight

Caroline Martinez

Caroline Martinez has three children with her youngest the only one left at Maple Creek. Her favorite thing about volunteering is seeing the smiles on the kids faces at Maple Creek. She’s been humbled and so appreciates all that MC has done for her family over the past 14 years. She says “May I never get too busy in my own affairs, that I fail to respond to the needs of others with kindness and compassion.”

Volunteer Spotlight

Rick Cathey

Rick Cathey is one of those volunteers. He has been a room parent for years and he’s known for his Crazy Day enthusiasm,
in full costume. His help with carnival this year included pick-up, delivery and removal of all the hay bales, corn stalks and
moving the light towers off the grass areas after carnival. He spent hours helping along with his 3rd grader, Shaun, and 8th grader, Jenna. Thank you Rick for all you do for Maple Creek!

Volunteer Up!

If we can get every Maple Creek parent to volunteer just 3 hours per semester, we can do amazing things for our kids and our school. Will you please take the 3 Hour a semester Involvement Pledge?
